CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ professional
Beth has been in the finance industry since 1991. From venture capital and corporate America to individualized financial planning, her experience has given her a strong appreciation for financial planning and wealth management. She develops personalized strategies to address financial and investment planning for the pre-retiree and retiree, and specializes in working with corporate executives, divorcee’s, clients experiencing life changing events and federal employees and their families. Additionally, Beth works with business owners on succession planning and their financial life after.
Beth provides each of her clients with a broad comprehensive perspective on wealth management guidance, preservation, estate planning and tax efficiency planning. Her overall goal for her clients is to preserve and grow financial assets and help limit downside risk so that they can enjoy consistent returns without the kind of volatility that can sometimes make investing an anxious experience. She also focuses a portion of her practice on women and hosts a quarterly educational seminar “Savvy Women Invest” to educate women to make smart decisions with their money. She works closely with clients’ other family advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to focus on the client’s total wealth management needs.
In 2012, Ms. Bennett earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. With the necessary education, her entrepreneurial spirit, and forward thinking, she chose to become an independent advisor. Now as the Principal and CEO of Chesapeake Financial Planning & Tax Services, LLC., she is able to provide her clients with complete objectivity, transparency and the most customized strategies that were not available to her at the large institutions where she previously practiced wealth management. Additionally, her ability to utilize the tax background, she is able to provide recommendations that minimize your individual tax burden.
As a graduate of Penn State University, she holds a BS in Accounting and was additionally awarded her MBA from Meredith College. Both of those degrees were attained while maintaining full time jobs. She is a registered representative and investment adviser representative with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Beth enjoys spending quality time with her teenage son and is an avid fitness enthusiast, beach goer and mom to her furry baby, Luie, who accompanies her occasionally to the office.
